Mississippi Striped Wool Stairway Transformation in NW6

Project Overview

We completed a staircase installation for a client in NW6 using Crucial Trading’s statement Mississippi Stripe range in Lime/Red (WS114) from Crucial Trading. The bold, stripe design was chosen to introduce colour and structure, creating a bold feature throughout the staircase. The project involved a full wall-to-wall carpet installation for a clean and elegant finish.

Installation Process

During our initial site survey, we identified areas of damage on the existing staircase. We advised the client to arrange for a carpenter to carry out the necessary repairs prior to installation. This ensured the staircase was secure and ready to receive carpet - an essential step in achieving a high-quality finish. The installation was completed using Cloud 9 contract underlay, along with new gripper rods. The carpet was installed wall-to-wall, with careful attention given to aligning the striped pattern along the straight sections of the staircase.

Challenges and Solutions

The primary consideration in this project was working with a striped design across both straight and winding sections of the staircase. Our team carefully installed the carpet to ensure the overall flow remained cohesive and visually balanced.

Outcome

The completed staircase created a streamlined finish, with the bold stripe creating a strong visual impact throughout the space. Through careful preparation and installation the result was a durable and well-executed staircase that enhanced the overall look of the home.
