Stairway Transformation: Wool Flatweave Stair Runner Chevron in NW2

Project Overview

We worked closely with a client to install a wool flatweave runner on their staircase. They chose their bespoke design from our West Hampstead showroom, a striking herringbone runner with contrasting stripe from The Woven Edge, paired with the striped Aspen binding tape by Jaspa.

Installation Process

Our team followed a two-phase plan to ensure precision throughout. In phase one, we cut, shaped, and confirmed the runner’s width/margin to the client’s satisfaction. In phase two, we fitted the runner to the staircase, including all carefully selected ancillaries, to achieve a flawless finish.

Challenges and Solutions

Two key considerations guided the project. Accurate planning was essential to centralise the pattern while keeping joins on each flight of stairs to a minimum. For aesthetics, our team worked closely with the client in the showroom to select the perfect carpet and bindings to complement their painted stairs.

Outcome

The completed runner showcases a clean, seamless finish with a consistent pattern all the way up. The client’s staircase has been transformed into a striking bespoke feature at the entrance to their home, and we could not be happier with the result.
