  • Stair runners can be tailored to fit most types of staircases. A high-quality stair runner is safer than bare wooden stairs as it provides a secure grip and reduces the risk of slipping. It also helps to absorb sound and improve comfort around the home. When the time comes for a refresh, stair runners are also easier to remove or replace than a fully fitted stair carpet.

  • Alternative Flooring has a diverse selection of designs from textured neutral colours made from timeless natural fibres to bold modern patterns like their Quirky Patterned Carpets range. With a vast collection of styles, we are able to craft bespoke runners with customisable borders to work beautifully with any living space.

  • Many of Alternative Flooring's carpets are natural fibres, using materials such as sisal, jute, coir, seagrass, and wool. However, they do have faux material ranges as well as the Anywhere Ca-rPET range using recycled fibres.

  • Yes, we regularly run special offers and discounts on selected collections.

  • Yes. Alternative Flooring carpets work well with underfloor heating. Just ensure the combined tog value of your carpet and underlay stays within 2.5 tog for optimal heat transfer. We recommend checking with your underfloor heating manufacturer for the best fit.
